CRM & Email Marketing: The Right Message, The Right Moment
Email marketing is one of the most underestimated channels in a marketer’s toolkit. Done well, it is direct, personal, measurable, and extraordinarily effective. Done badly, it is noise. The difference is rarely the platform; it is the thinking behind it.
Over the course of my career I have worked with Spotler, Mailchimp, MailerLite, Mailblue, ActiveCampaign, and HubSpot. Each has its own strengths. Mailchimp and MailerLite are accessible and visual, good for smaller lists and straightforward campaigns. Spotler and Mailblue offer more automation depth. ActiveCampaign is powerful for customer journey mapping. HubSpot brings CRM and marketing together in a way that gives you a complete picture of how your contacts are moving through your funnel.
What I have learned from working across all of them is that the platform is secondary to the strategy. Who are you writing to, what do they need to hear, and when is the right moment to say it? Get those three things right, and almost any platform will do the job. Get them wrong, and no amount of automation will save you.
For equestrian businesses, email marketing is often an underused opportunity. Whether you are a breeder announcing a new foal crop, a show organiser communicating with exhibitors, or a tack shop running a seasonal promotion; your list is an asset. I can help you use it properly.
